SAFO ACTION CENTER
With your help, we can ensure that Senators Barack Obama and Joe Biden become the next President and Vice President of the United States! From now until Election Day, this page will provide resources and guidance for SAFO's grassroots organizing efforts. Given the stakes in this election, your help is critical. You can participate in one or more of the following ways. For more information, or if you have questions about getting involved with SAFO's grassroots efforts, please contact us at safoaction@yahoo.com.
Travel to a Battleground State
The most valuable thing you can do for the campaign is to spend some time on the ground in a battleground state. SAFO is now working full-time with the Obama campaign’s AAPI Vote Team, sending hundreds of volunteers each week to nine battleground states: Florida, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington. To receive our weekly emails about outreach events in these battleground states, please join our SAFO Facebook or myBO groups.
Conduct Voter Protection
Nothing is more important in this election than making sure every vote is counted. The campaign urgently needs as many legal volunteers as possible. If you are available to serve as a poll watcher to conduct voter protection in a battleground state, please sign up today at http://my.barackobama.com/counselforchange.
Canvass Your Neighborhood
The Obama campaign has an exciting new tool called Neighbor to Neighbor, which allows you to connect with potential supporters in your own neighborhood! In all states, you will be able to make phone calls to potential supporters. In some states, you can even print out a list and go door-to-door to talk to your neighbors directly. This great new tool is available regardless of where you live. To get started today, please visit http://my.barackobama.com/n2n.
Visit Our SAFO Resource Center
At our SAFO Resource Center, you can find all of the materials you need for your canvassing efforts. From policy papers, to in-language materials, issue summaries to how-to guides for voters, there is a wealth of material to empower you to make a difference in this campaign. Take a look for yourself.
Volunteer Locally
Visit your local field office and bring a friend! You can make calls, canvass neighborhoods, and connect with other supporters. To find your local field office, please visit http://my.barackobama.com/page/content/statepages.
Make a Contribution
While Senator Obama has rejected contributions from political action committees and Washington lobbyists, John McCain is hard at work raising money so he can fund his dishonorable and deceitful campaign of attacking Senator Obama. These dirty tricks will not work this time. We have build an unprecedented network of support of over 2.5 million donors like you giving only what they can afford.
We hope you will do your part today by making a $25 or $50 contribution. With your help, we can ensure victory in November!
